LOCOMOTIVES: The locomotives that can be seen at St.Marnock reflect the variety of motive power passing through Kilmarnock in the Sixties;  Ayrshire based “Crabs” and “Black Fives”, Standard and exLMS tank locos and express engines including “Royal Scots”, “”Clans”, “Britannias” and also A3 Pacifics which were briefly allocated to Leeds Holbeck to work the Thames-Clyde Express north to Glasgow.
